Meeting/Venue Information

Please note, effective January 2015, IEEE is a smoke-free campus. Smoking is prohibited on campus grounds, as well as in vehicles parked on IEEE property.

IEEE-SA Awards Ceremony
Sunday, 6 December 2015
The Awards Ceremony will be held at The Palace at Somerset Park, 333 Davidson Avenue, Somerset, NJ 08873.
The reception is from 5:00pm-6:00pm, followed by dinner/awards ceremony from 6:00pm-9:00pm.
The recipient for the 2015 Charles Proteus Steinmetz Award is Mr. Steve M. Mills, “for outstanding leadership in the development of IEEE Standards programs with global impact.”

BOG Forum
The Forum provides an environment where subjects of interest to the IEEE-SA standards community can be discussed in an informal setting. This year, the BOG will host a Forum with Andrew Russell, Assistant Professor of History and Director of the Program in Science & Technology Studies in the College of Arts & Letters, Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken, New Jersey, whose work has appeared in IEEE Spectrum, Information and Culture, Technology & Culture, and the IEEE Annals of Computing. Dr. Russell is the author of Open Standards and the Digital Age: History, Ideology, and Networks (Cambridge Studies in the Emergence of Global Enterprise), an interdisciplinary history of information networks that pays close attention to the politics of standardization. The Forum will be held on Monday, 7 December 2015, at the IEEE Operations Center, 445 Hoes Lane, Piscataway, NJ. A dinner will be held afterwards.
