The Forum will take place on Wednesday, 29 June. A reception will be held afterwards.
Forum topic: The Role and Interaction of Technical Activities Committee/Sponsors in Standards Development Structure and Process

While standards development occurs primarily at the request of societies and technical committees, there sometimes can be a disconnect between the Working Group effort and the TA elements which sponsor the standard. Issues such as sponsor scope overlap, duplication, co-sponsoring, and development of standards in competing SDOs frequently become issues that require attention. This forum will continue a discussion that started earlier in the year to explore the optimal level of interaction between the IEEE Technical Activities and the IEEE-SA structures. Members and staff of IEEE Technical Activities will join IEEE-SA members and staff in a cafe round table session to discuss the issues and develop ideas about improving the interactions.
