Standards Adoption

Voluntary technical standards have a significant role in international exchange of products and services. They are used for safety and reliability, to support technical regulations, ensure interoperability, grow markets, address fast-moving and converging technologies, and more.

As a focal point for various technologies and as an organization willing to share expertise with standards developers worldwide, we encourage the adoption of IEEE standards. Adoption of IEEE standards can be done through the two options; the General Standards Adoption Program or a streamlined Adoption Program designed specifically for National Standards Bodies.
