P1728 - Guide for the Use of Extruded Shields

This guide provides an overview of the functional requirements and related properties of extruded conductor shields and insulation shields used for the distribution of power at voltages between 5 and 46kV and the transmission of power at voltages of 69kV up to 345kV. This guide does not address the manufacture of extruded shields and cables.
