P1613 - Standard for Environmental and Testing Requirements for Intelligent Electronic Devices (IEDs) Installed in Transmission and Distribution Facilities

The purpose of this standard is to define the environmental conditions present in transmission and distribution facilities and to establish a common reproducible basis for designing and evaluating IEDs to be installed in those locations.This document specifies standard service conditions, standard ratings, environmental performance requirements, and testing requirements for IEDs installed in transmission and distribution facilities. These devices and/or systems may or may not include communication ports and may or may not be port powered.
