P1249 - IEEE Draft Guide for Computer Based Controls for Hydroelectric Power Plant Automation
The original scope of the guide was to provide guidance to the practicing engineer in the field of hydroelectric power plants by describing the application, design concepts and implementation of computer-based control systems for hydroelectric power plant automation. It also addresses functional capabilities, performance requirements, interface requirements, tradeoffs, hardware considerations and includes typical application examples.
