IEEE P1800™ Standard for System Verilog - Unified Hardware Design, Specification, and Verification Language - (Draft 6) is now an approved revision.
Four projects moved from entity development status to individual:
- IEEE P1903.1™ - Standard for Content Delivery Protocols of Next Generation Service Overlay Network (NGSON)
- IEEE P1903.2™ - Standard for Service Composition Protocols of Next Generation Service Overlay Network (NGSON)
- IEEE P1903.3™ - Standard for Self-Organizing Management Protocols of Next Generation Service Overlay Network (NGSON)
- IEEE P1907.1™ - Standard for Network-Adaptive Quality of Experience (QoE) Management Scheme for Real-Time Mobile Video Communications
IEEE P1735™ - Recommended Practice for Encryption and Management of Electronic Design Intellectual Property (IP) Recommendation - received a one-year extension to complete its work.
IEEE P1858™- Standard for Camera Phone Image Quality - is now under joint sponsorship of the Corporate Advisory Group and the Communications Society Standards Development Board.
Konstantinos Karachalios, a leader in international standards development, has joined the IEEE Standards Association as managing director, in Piscataway, N.J. He succeeds Judy Gorman, who retired in April.
Since the IEEE Standards Association (IEEE-SA) and other like-minded Standards Development Organizations (SDOs) publicly introduced the principles of Modern Standards Paradigm, OpenStand in late August 2012, IEEE-SA CAG member Yatin Trivedi has been thinking about how closely the Electronic Design Automation (EDA) community follows these principles.
