Scaling the MOVE Program Through a Standardized Process

About the Activity

A Global IEEE Program: Mobile Outreach Using Volunteer Engagement (MOVE TM) bringing emergency relief and education where it’s needed most. It is committed to assisting victims of natural disasters with short-term communications and power solutions. These temporary emergency relief provisions help those affected stay connected and make sure they can access the help they need. Services include power, phone charging, internet, communication support, and lighting to disaster victims and relief workers.

Goals of the Activity

The goal of the IC activity is to standardize key aspects of the MOVE TM Program to enable the program to scale in a manner that meets local, contextualized needs. To support this, it may also develop an accompanying certification program so that new locales can be accredited if they meet the requirements.
