Theory, application of phase-shifting transformers, and the difference of specification and testing to standard system transformers are described. Various types of phase-shifting transformers and how to select the optimal design to achieve required control of power flow are covered. An understanding of the terminology, types, construction, and testing specifical to phase-shifting transformers is provided. Replaced by IEC 62032 Ed.1 (2005-03)

Guide for the Application, Specification, and Testing of Phase-Shifting Transformers
This guide covers the application, specification, theory, factory and field testing of liquid-immersed phase-shifting transformers (PSTs). The guide is limited to matters particular to PSTs and does not include matters relating to general power transformers covered in existing standards, recommended practices, or guides
Standards approved by the IEEE SA Standards Board that are within the 10-year lifecycle.
60076-57-1202-2016
IEC/IEEE International Standard Power transformers --Part 57-1202: Liquid immersed phase-shifting transformers
This part of IEC 60076 covers the requirements for phase-shifting transformers of all types. The scope excludes transformers with an unregulated phase shift. This document is limited to matters particular to phase-shifting transformers and does not include matters relating to general requirements for power transformers covered in existing standards in the IEC 60076 series or IEEE Std C57.12.00(TM) and IEEE Std C57.12.10(TM).
These standards have been replaced with a revised version of the standard, or by a compilation of the original active standard and all its existing amendments, corrigenda, and errata.
No Superseded Standards
These standards have been removed from active status through a ballot where the standard is made inactive as a consensus decision of a balloting group.
No Inactive-Withdrawn Standards
These standards are removed from active status through an administrative process for standards that have not undergone a revision process within 10 years.

IEEE Guide for the Application, Specification, and Testing of Phase-Shifting Transformers
Adopted as IEC 62032:2012. Theory, application of phase-shifting transformers, and the difference of specification and testing to standard system transformers are described in this guide. Various types of phase-shifting transformers and how to select the optimal design to achieve required control of power flow are covered. An understanding of the terminology, types, construction, and testing specific to phase-shifting transformers is provided.
