Recommended Practice for Technical Knowledge Commons Initiatives and Platforms

This recommended practice describes how to develop, configure, and implement a Technical Knowledge Commons to make technical knowledge more accessible and useable for the broader public. The recommended practice includes the design of metadata specifications, taxonomies/ontologies, contextualization efforts for all types of documentation artifacts as well as naming rules, data transfer, security, intellectual property licensing strategies, and interoperability with similar initiatives.
