This standard defines a framework and set of criteria for assessing and improving the transparency and accuracy of numeracy, literacy, terminology, and reference integrity in media (e.g. video, audio, tactile) publications, and public-facing content. It specifies methods for identifying and tagging quantities (e.g., millions, billions, population statistics), verifying definitions from trusted sources (e.g., dictionary entries, educational standards), estimating emotional valence, estimating shift in the emotional state, or estimating shift in the physical condition, or estimating manipulative language, and evaluating the reliability and provenance of claims and sources. The standard also provides guidelines for generating indices of accuracy, emotional stress exposure, and source reliability, enabling educators, parents, healthcare providers, journalists, policy makers, and content creators to assess content in domains such as medicine, legislation, economics, education, science, and current events. The standard supports 6G (sixth generation wireless) human-aware networking, a class of next-generation communication systems that integrate artificial intelligence and sensing to adapt network behavior and service delivery to users' cognitive, emotional, or physical context–enhancing personalization, safety, and inclusivity. The standard is also mapped with the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) aligning its measurable criteria for media transparency, emotional integrity, and informational reliability with global sustainability priorities such as quality education, health and well-being, gender equality, reduced inequalities, and ethical information ecosystems.
