P690
Standard for Design and Installation of Cable Systems for Class 1E Circuits in Nuclear facilities
This standard provides direction for the design and installation of safety-related electrical cable systems, including associated circuits, in nuclear facilities. Guidance is also provided for: - Design, installation, and performance requirements of those nonsafety related cable systems that may affect the function of safety related systems. - Applications of cable-penetration, fire stops, cable fire breaks, and cable-system enclosures for cable systems for Class 1E circuits.
Standards approved by the IEEE SA Standards Board that are within the 10-year lifecycle.
690-2018
IEEE Standard for Design and Installation of Cable Systems for Class 1E Circuits in Nuclear Power Generating Stations
This standard provides direction for the design and installation of safety-related electrical cable systems, including associated circuits, in nuclear power generating stations. Also provided is guidance for the design, installation and performance requirements of those non-safety related cable systems that may affect the function of safety related systems. It provides guidance on applications of cable-penetration, fire stops, cable fire breaks, and cable-system enclosures for cable systems for Class 1E circuits.
These standards have been replaced with a revised version of the standard, or by a compilation of the original active standard and all its existing amendments, corrigenda, and errata.
No Superseded Standards
These standards have been removed from active status through a ballot where the standard is made inactive as a consensus decision of a balloting group.
