Recommended Practice for Road and Traffic Quality Based Index Score (RTQI)

This recommended practice specifies a methodology for generating a Road and Traffic Quality Index (RTQI) score in real time. The RTQI score indicates road-surface condition, associated infrastructure condition, and prevailing traffic operating conditions relevant to vehicle operation. The RTQI provides a mechanism for real-time assessment of road and traffic attributes. The RTQI includes a subjective, vehicle-type-based quality indication component and may vary among vehicle types, including two-wheelers, three-wheelers, cars, and trucks. The recommended practice specifies the methodology for devising the RTQI scoring mechanism.
