Standard for Virtual Reality-Based Tele-Embodiment and Physical Interaction Data Capture via Robotic Avatars

This standard specifies the technical requirements and methodologies for acquiring physical interaction data exclusively using Virtual Reality (VR)-based tele-embodiment systems controlling physical robotic avatars to train and evaluate general-purpose embodied intelligence models. It covers VR-to-robot system performance thresholds (such as motion-to-photon latency and force-position hybrid control), multi-modal sensory data synchronization (including stereoscopic visual feedback), and data collection workflows applicable across diverse unstructured and structured domains (e.g., domestic households, commercial retail, hazardous environments, and industrial settings). This standard explicitly excludes data collection methods that do not rely on the direct immersive VR-based teleoperation of physical robots, such as purely virtual simulation generation, wearable motion capture without active force feedback, and unembodied hand-held recording devices.
