It specifies minimum readiness controls, required evidence artifact content, and verification and testing practices for systems that depend on timestamps or time-based validity, including cross-system timestamp interfaces and supplier disclosure information necessary for comparable readiness claims. The recommended practice provides profiles and tiered assurance levels to support deployment across diverse operational environments. The recommended practice does not define protocol modifications, mandate a specific time representation, prescribe regulatory requirements, or specify product-specific implementations.
