This standard establishes a reference architecture for Scientific Intelligence Systems (SISs) and defines the core terminology and conceptual boundaries of the field. It specifies the core modules of SISs, and delineates the core functions and the interaction mechanisms between modules. This standard applies to the design, development and integration of SISs across key scientific and engineering disciplines including bio-medicine, new materials and meteorology. It provides an architectural framework for the integration of Scientific Intelligence (SI) models in such systems.
