It is limited to inspection procedures and operational coordination for aerial inspection operations. It doesn't define UAV platform design, communication protocols themselves, sensing or diagnostic algorithms, or regulatory frameworks. It defines interoperability, environmental adaptability, and performance evaluation requirements to help ensure consistent, predictable behavior and reliable outcomes during close‑proximity operations. The standard supports scalable deployment, streamlined workflows, and integration of UAV‑based inspection across diverse environments and system configurations.
