The standard defines key concepts such as airspace classifications, vehicle categories such as unmanned aerial vehicles and electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft, operational modes such as visual line-of-sight and beyond-visual-line-of-sight, service segments such as logistics, inspection and emergency response, digital infrastructure elements such as unmanned traffic management and remote identification, and related domain-specific terms. It also includes terminology for consumer grade platforms and sensors as well as smart infrastructure components such as intelligent geofencing and data driven traffic management services.
