Recommended Practice for Artificial Intelligence (AI)-Enabled Performance and Safety Requirements in Police Pursuit Vehicles

This recommended practice defines the minimum performance, safety, and interoperability requirements for police pursuit and law enforcement vehicles, including: - Vehicle dynamics under high-speed pursuit conditions; - Artificial-Intelligence (AI)-enabled decision support systems for pursuit management; - Integration of embedded systems for real-time diagnostics and predictive maintenance; - Compatibility with existing original equipment manufacturer (OEM) safety systems and law enforcement equipment - Guidelines for ethical use of autonomous and semi-autonomous features in pursuit scenarios.
