The objective of the standard is to reduce risks in experiments by improving the efficiency and reliability by standardizing laboratory intelligence and automation requirements. This standard defines a general framework for data-driven high-throughput (200 devices every eight hours) laboratory intelligence and automation, including definition of terms and requirements. Requirements for data-driven high-throughput laboratory intelligence and automation level, equipment, technology, performance, environmental aspects, data exchange, network security and functional security are defined.
