This standard describes technical performance metrics relevant to systems that integrate a sensing or object detection capability with a communication function. The platforms of interest include synthetic aperture radar (SAR) as well as cell devices connected to a wireless network. This standard includes: • A quantitative definition of performance metrics relevant to the target detection and remote sensing functionality of the Integrated Sensing and Communication (ISAC) system. For example, parameters such as angle resolution, detection range, or velocity estimation accuracy may be pertinent to the detection and sensing functions, • A quantitative definition of performance metrics relevant to the communication and information sharing functions of the ISAC system. Such performance parameters may include bit error rate or data throughput, • A framework for predicting the effects of different modulation schemes, waveform types or processing algorithms on the ISAC performance metrics, • A framework for assessing the impact of platform position uncertainty on the ISAC-SAR performance metrics including the accuracy of azimuth angle and cross-range estimates, • For implementations of ISAC on SAR platforms, the defined performance metrics account for the impact of waveform modulation type on the autofocus, backprojection, and range cell migration correction algorithms. This standard includes algorithm computational features, such as latency and throughput, as well as metrics related to the form, fit, and function of hardware configurations.

Other Activities From This Working Group
Current projects that have been authorized by the IEEE SA Standards Board to develop a standard.
No Active Projects
Standards approved by the IEEE SA Standards Board that are within the 10-year lifecycle.
No Active Standards
These standards have been replaced with a revised version of the standard, or by a compilation of the original active standard and all its existing amendments, corrigenda, and errata.
No Superseded Standards
These standards have been removed from active status through a ballot where the standard is made inactive as a consensus decision of a balloting group.
No Inactive-Withdrawn Standards
These standards are removed from active status through an administrative process for standards that have not undergone a revision process within 10 years.
No Inactive-Reserved Standards
