This recommended practice addresses the full lifecycle of robots used for inspection of indoor substations. It applies to robots defined in IEEE Std 3328-2025. The document discusses system composition and configuration, application scenarios and their adaptation rules and provides functional and performance requirements and benchmarks, inspection operation methods, calibration and acceptance requirements, as well as maintenance and repair requirements.
