This recommended practice helps to evaluate the rationality of deployment points for substation inspection robots and their related systems during planning and operational phases. It applies to robots defined in IEEE Std 3328-2025. The document covers evaluation of inspection point value, configuration, and inspection methods. It helps optimizing the allocation of intelligent patrol resources and strategy formulation, enhances the effectiveness of intelligent patrols, systematically reduces manual workload, improves equipment condition management capabilities, enhance power grid safety, and contributes practical insights and data support for industry standard development.
