Recommended Practice for Deployment of Inspection Points in Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Inspection of Substations

This recommended practice extends IEEE Std 3327-2025. It applies to the deployment of inspection points for the inspection of substations using Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). The document provides configuration methods UAV inspection systems, inspection point requirements, point deployment methods, recommendations for the setup of such points, and requirements for waypoint and route configuration.
