This standard establishes a framework that defines the principles and minimal requirements, as well as the criteria and mechanisms, for assessing the security of Internet of Things (IoT) application deployments. The scope includes sensors, devices, network edge components, and operational environments supporting end-to-end IoT deployments, while excluding backend cloud and enterprise systems governed by existing standards.
