This amendment defines a physiological evaluation method for virtual training systems using physiological data as defined in IEEE Std. 2888.5-2024. The evaluation consists of types of physiological data, data collecting procedures, and evaluation metrics using physiological data for evaluating the effectiveness, efficiency, and satisfaction of the virtual training systems. This amendment also defines analysis techniques for virtual training systems.

P2888.1a
IEEE Standard for Specification of Sensor Interface for Cyber and Physical Worlds Amendment: Binary Representation of Data Formats for Interfacing Sensors and their Capabilities
This amendment defines binary representation of data formats and capability descriptions for interfacing sensors defined in the IEEE Std. 2888.1-2023. This amendment also defines binary test streams for the sensors and system implementers to test and confirm proper implementation and interoperability of sensors across various platforms and systems
P2888.2a
IEEE Standard for Actuator Interface for Cyber and Physical Worlds Amendment: Binary representation of data formats, application programming interfaces and definition of additional actuators
This amendment defines: • Data formats and APIs for additional actuators, including robotic arm and actuator group • APIs using data formats defined in JavaScript Object Notation (JSON) schema for actuators specified in IEEE Std 2888.2-2023 • Binary representation of data formats and capability description for interfacing actuators defined in IEEE Std 2888.2-2023 • Binary test streams for actuators and system implementers to test and confirm the proper implementation and interoperability of actuators across various platforms and systems.
P2888.3
IEEE Draft Standard on Orchestration of Digital Synchronization between Cyber and Physical World
This standard defines the vocabulary, requirements, metrics, data formats and application program interfaces (APIs) for setting up parameters for and communicating with digital objects to provide sequences of synchronization and interaction with physical objects.
P2888.6
Standard for Holographic Visualization for Interfacing Cyber and Physical Worlds
This standard defines representations of holographic content to provide interfaces between Cyber and Physical Worlds for objects, which may exist either in Cyber or Physical Worlds. This includes following formats and scheme: ? Holographic printing file format ? Holographic contents encoding format ? Holographic representation scheme.
P2888.7
Standard for Architecture of a Digital Twin System for Carbon Emission Management
This standard defines a reference architecture to implement a digital twin system for carbon emission management for the physical world where equipment and facilities emit carbon dioxide. This architecture includes a physical-to-virtual component that transfers carbon emission data in the physical world to the virtual world and a virtual-to-physical component that controls actuators in the physical world as well as carbon emission management modules in the virtual world.
Standards approved by the IEEE SA Standards Board that are within the 10-year lifecycle.
2888.1-2023
IEEE Standard for Specification of Sensor Interface for Cyber and Physical Worlds
The vocabulary, data formats, and application programming interfaces (APIs) for acquiring information from sensors are defined in this standard, enabling communication between the cyber world and the physical world, including:--Data formats for interfacing sensor data defining a root schema with individual sensor data--Data formats for recognizing sensor capabilities defining a root schema with individual sensor capabilities--Data formats for common data types--Application programming interfaces to transmit a sensor and its capability data between cyber and physical worlds
2888.2-2023
IEEE Standard for Actuator Interface for Cyber and Physical Worlds
The vocabulary, data formats, and application programming interfaces (APIs) for controlling the actuators, which helps enable the definition of interfaces between the cyber world and the physical world, are defined in this standard, including: -Data formats for interfacing actuator commands defining a root schema with individual actuators -Data formats for recognizing actuator capabilities defining a root schema with individual actuators -Data formats for common data types -Application programming interfaces to transmit commands and capability descriptions of the actuators between the cyber and physical worlds
2888.4-2023
IEEE Standard for Architecture for Virtual Reality Disaster Response Training System with Six Degrees of Freedom (6 DoF)
Defined in this standard is a reference architecture required for building a virtual reality (VR) training system for large space disaster response. The system using this architecture simulates responses to a disaster that can occur in a large-scale physical space by applying VR technology. The scope of this standard includes architecture, requirements, and system designs for VR disaster response training systems.
2888.5-2024
IEEE Approved Draft Standard for Virtual Training System Evaluation Methods
This standard defines the evaluation methods and frameworks for virtual training systems. The evaluation framework consists of a plan, design, data, test, and analysis that can evaluate the virtual training systems' effectiveness, usability and acceptability.
