This standard defines a direct communication profile compliant with IEEE Std 2030.5. The profile enables communication among Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) over a Local Area Network (LAN). With respect to such communication, the profile fosters plug-and-play interoperability between DERs and peers such as installers, gateways, and end-users.
