IEEE Recommended Practice for Distributed Simulation Engineering and Execution Process (DSEEP)

The recommended practice for Distributed Simulation Engineering and Execution Process (DSEEP) is described in this document. The DSEEP is intended as a high-level process framework into which the lower-level systems engineering practices native to any distributed simulation user can be easily integrated. Simulation architectures include Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS), High Level Architecture (HLA), and Test and Training Enabling Architecture (TENA).

IEEE Recommended Practice for Distributed Simulation Engineering and Execution Process Multiu2010Architecture Overlay

A recommended practice for applying the Distributed Simulation Engineering and Execution Process (DSEEP) to the development and execution of distributed simulation environments that include more than one distributed simulation architecture is described. The distributed simulation architectures to which the recommended practice applies include Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS), High Level Architecture (HLA), and Test and Training Enabling Architecture (TENA). The DSEEP Multi-Architecture Overlay (DMAO) identifies and describes multi-architecture issues and provides recommended actions for simulation environment developers faced with those issues. The DMAO also augments the DSEEP lists of inputs, recommended tasks, and outcomes with additional inputs, recommended tasks, and outcomes that apply to multi-architecture simulation environments. This document is an overlay to the DSEEP, which is a separate recommended practice.

IEEE Recommended Practice for Verification, Validation and Acceptance/Accreditation of a Distributed Simulation: An Overlay to the Distributed Simulation Engineering and Execution Process

The Distributed Simulation Engineering and Execution Process (DSEEP) identifies best practices for the development and execution of distributed simulations. This recommended practice provides guidelines for verification, validation, and acceptance or accreditation (VV&A) of a distributed simulation and provides a more detailed view of the VV&A processes implied by and aligned with the DSEEP.
