The IEEE SA Public Review Process
The IEEE SA Public Review process provides an opportunity for any interested party, anywhere in the world, to submit comments on any eligible initial ballot draft being reviewed in the consensus process, and obtain responses from the IEEE Working Group. This provides even greater scrutiny and input to draft IEEE standards.
The 60-day Public Review period is initiated simultaneously with the consensus ballot. Public Review commenters can view upcoming Public Reviews, purchase Public Review drafts, and participate in ongoing Public Reviews by visiting the IEEE SA Public Review page. Participation in the IEEE SA Public Review requires an IEEE account.
After the Public Review period, the Working Group will provide to each Public Review commenter responses to all comments that the commenter submits. Public Review comments do not have votes associated with them, and therefore do not count toward a consensus. However, participation in IEEE SA Public Review can greatly enhance the content of IEEE standards.
