Open Data Center Initiative

About the Activity

The rise of big model technologies such as ChatGPT and Sora, the demand for Computing for AI applications is growing exponentially, which poses new challenges and requirements for all aspects of data centers – from server performance optimization, infrastructure construction, and network architecture design to efficient deployment of edge computing all present new challenges and requirements.

Open Data Center Initiative (ODCI) aims to bring together experts, scholars, business leaders, technological innovators, and policymakers in the field of global data centers to discuss the latest advances in data center technology, challenges, and future development trends, and to promote the formation of an industry consensus to accelerate the implementation of technological innovations and applications.

Goals of the Activity

The goal of this IC activity is to:

  • Promote Knowledge Sharing: To build an international exchange platform to share the latest research results, technology trends, and successful cases in the field of data centers, and to enhance the overall cognitive level of the industry.
  • Promote Technological Innovation: Encourage cross-discipline cooperation, stimulate innovative thinking, and jointly explore new paths in data center technology, especially solutions for intelligent Computing needs.
  • Build Industry Standards: Through in-depth discussions, promote the formation of international standards and best practices for data center-related technologies, and provide guidance for the healthy development of the industry.
  • Strengthen International Cooperation: enhance mutual understanding and cooperation among different countries and regions in the field of data centers, jointly address global Computing challenges, and promote the balanced development of the global digital economy.
