This standard provides technical requirements and test methods for valve reactors in High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) transmission system using Line Commutated Converters (LCC) technology at a voltage level of 1500 V or above. The standard specifies use conditions, rating values, allowable deviation, insulation levels, test methods, and requirements for nameplates, packaging, storage, transportation and installation of valve reactors.
