Registration Authority

IEEE offers Registration Authority programs or registries which maintain lists of unique identifiers under standards and issue unique identifiers to those wishing to register them. The IEEE Registration Authority assigns unambiguous names to objects in a way which makes the assignment available to interested parties.

OUI, OUI-36, IAB, ETHERTYPE FIELD INFORMATON CHANGE FORM

Complete this form if there have been one or more of the following changes since the OUI, OUI-36, IAB, and/or EtherType Field assignment was issued to your company.

  • If there is a company name change due to purchase and/or sale.
    • Email the IEEE-RA a copy of a press release or some details of the company name change.
  • If your company has more than one of each assignment that must be changed.
    • Complete a separate form for each. (Example, if a company has two OUI assignments, complete two forms so that the contact information can be updated for both of assignments.)
