IEEE REDLINE VERSIONS OF STANDARDS

IEEE Standards are revised when any of the material in the standard becomes obsolete or incorrect.

A Redline Version of a Standard indicates the changes made, during the standards revision process, between the active standard and its previous version.

Additions, deletions, and other formatting and/or content revisions are clearly displayed as underlined and strikethrough texts, ensuring all changes made between the two documents are quickly and easily identified.

(Note: It may not be technically possible to capture all revisions accurately, please consult previous versions of the standard as appropriate. In all cases, only the current active version of the standard is considered the official document.)

Redline Version Benefits
Redline Versions of Standards enable technical professionals to efficiently and effortlessly implement changes to procedures, equipment and products saving time and resources.

It is no longer necessary to read through the entire standard (word-for-word, table-for-table) to figure out what has changed.

Already familiar with a particular standard? Speed up the review process and concentrate only on what has changed by skipping to the clearly marked revisions indicated.
