Recommended Practice for Seismic Design of Substations
The recommended practice contains recommendations for the seismic design of substation buildings and other structures as well as the seismic design and qualification of substation equipment. The recommended practice addresses new substations and planned additions or improvements to existing substations. The recommended practice does not require existing substations to be retrofitted. Instructions on how to include this recommended practice in specifications are provided. This recommended practice is designed as an integrated set of requirements for the seismic qualification of electrical power equipment. This recommended practice is to be applied without modification or removal of any requirement, except as allowed herein.
Standards approved by the IEEE SA Standards Board that are within the 10-year lifecycle.
