About the Activity

The ocean is essential for achieving sustainability. Ocean ecosystem services are being heavily used. Ocean industries need to be made sustainable. The ocean has large potential for climate solutions.

Goals of the Activity

  • Bring together the emerging community around mCDR technology, and the adjacent community around Measurement, Reporting, and Verification (MRV)
  • Identify technology challenges related to mCDR and MRV for mCDR
  • Connect IEEE, engineering, industry, science, and public policy stakeholders to communicate and address the technology challenges and opportunities identified.
  • Identify potential standards.
  • Identify needs for future community discussions and meetings.
  • Position IEEE as the way for each of the stakeholders to connect with other mCDR stakeholders.
