IEEE P3334

IEEE Draft Recommended Practice for Market-based Electric Vehicle Grid Integration

The purpose of this document is to provide a set of market-based recommended practices for two-way interaction (Vehicle-to-Grid, V2G) technologies between electric vehicles (EVs) and the grid to facilitate the efficient integration and utilization of EVs as a flexible resource in the grid. This document initially describes the overall architecture of the V2G system, including the way in which electric vehicles, charging facilities, communication networks, and the grid are integrated. The system realizes bidirectional energy flow between electric vehicles and the power grid through real-time data exchange and intelligent control, and this enhances flexibility and stability of the power grid. Many types of charging piles and their technical characteristics are then described in detail.

No Active Projects

Standards approved by the IEEE SA Standards Board that are within the 10-year lifecycle.

No Active Standards

These standards have been replaced with a revised version of the standard, or by a compilation of the original active standard and all its existing amendments, corrigenda, and errata.

No Superseded Standards

These standards have been removed from active status through a ballot where the standard is made inactive as a consensus decision of a balloting group.

No Inactive-Withdrawn Standards

These standards are removed from active status through an administrative process for standards that have not undergone a revision process within 10 years.
