This standard establishes a framework for the design, specification, evaluation, and deployment of online parental consent systems. It includes; 1. key terms, definitions and abbreviations, together with the roles and responsibilities of key actors in the parental consent process. 2. requirements for establishing the levels of confidence (asserted, standard, enhanced and strict) associated with the methods of parental consent, including confidence in the legal relationship between the minor and the adult giving consent 3. terminology to describe the most frequent content and functionality for which parental consent may be sought 4. methodology for conformance testing, test assertions, test procedures and statistical analysis of the veracity of the output of parental consent systems, including processes for system certification in accordance with ISO 17065 5. requirements for privacy protection, data security and information systems management that are specific to the parental consent process This standard doesn't cover; 1. detailed information about countermeasures (i.e. anti-spoofing techniques), presentation attack detection, algorithms, or sensors; 2. overall system-level security or vulnerability assessment.
