No Active Projects
Standards approved by the IEEE SA Standards Board that are within the 10-year lifecycle.
1725-2021
IEEE Standard for Rechargeable Batteries for Mobile Phones
Criteria for design analysis for qualification, quality, and reliability of rechargeable lithium ion batteries for host devices such as cellular telephone applications are established. Also included are: battery pack electrical and mechanical construction, packaging technologies, pack- and celllevel charge and discharge controls, and overall system considerations.
These standards have been replaced with a revised version of the standard, or by a compilation of the original active standard and all its existing amendments, corrigenda, and errata.
1725-2006
IEEE Standard for Rechargeable Batteries for Cellular Telephones
This standard establishes criteria for design analysis for quality, and establishes criteria for reliability of rechargeable Li-Ion and Li-Ion Polymer batteries for mobile telephone applications. Also included in the standard are battery pack electrical and mechanical construction, packaging technologies, pack and cell level charge and discharge controls, and overall system considerations..
These standards have been removed from active status through a ballot where the standard is made inactive as a consensus decision of a balloting group.
No Inactive-Withdrawn Standards
These standards are removed from active status through an administrative process for standards that have not undergone a revision process within 10 years.
No Inactive-Reserved Standards
