The UN World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) Forum took place from 13-17 March 2023 in Geneva, Switzerland, with options for remote participation, followed by virtual workshops in April and May 2023.
During the open forum, a series of workshops, High-Level Policy Sessions and special tracks were held on various thematic areas addressing issues that are important in helping to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
At the WSIS Forum 2023 – under its theme of Sustainable Stewardship – IEEE made High-Level Policy Statements, had two Track Facilitators, held a workshop on “Supporting the Transition to a Stronger, Greener, and Sustainable Future Through Standards and Best Practices” and hosted a Knowledge Cafe on “Planet Positive: Imagine the Future We Can Build Together.”
