This standard describes procedures for measurement of the performance characteristics of the picture and sound sections of television receivers. Where specific test conditions are stated, these apply to hoftie broadcast receivers designed to receive transmissions in accordance with the specifications of the United States Federal Communications Commission. 1 Where other conditions apply, appropriate modifications must be made. 2 Emphasis is placed on over-all receiver performance. Internal characteristics such as the gains and bandwidths of individual stages are not generally considered
