Recommended Practice for Open Source Software Project Governance

This recommended practice defines a framework for the community governance of open source projects that facilitates and encourages community participation, contributions, and adoption. This document includes recommended practices for (i) project and community governance, (ii) project infrastructure, (iii) ownership and provenance management, (iv) licensing considerations, (v) release planning, (vi) trademark and logo policy, (vii) diversity statements and codes of conduct, (viii) governance of information security, and (ix) other activities required for open source project operation and governance.
