P1785.2

Standard for Rectangular Metallic Waveguides and Their Interfaces for Frequencies of 110 GHz and Above–Part 2: Waveguide Interfaces

This standard specifies rectangular waveguide interfaces. This standard considers the tolerances of the waveguide interface dimensions and the effect these have on the electrical properties (in terms of return loss) of the waveguide.

Other Activities From This Working Group

Current projects that have been authorized by the IEEE SA Standards Board to develop a standard.

P1785.1
Standard for Rectangular Metallic Waveguides and Their Interfaces for Frequencies of 110 GHz and Above--Part 1: Frequency Bands and Waveguide Dimensions

This standard specifies waveguides including their aperture dimensions, frequency range, and cut-off frequencies. This standard considers tolerances of waveguide aperture dimensions and the effect these have on the electrical properties (in terms of return loss, and transmission loss) of the waveguide.

P1785.3
Recommended Practice for Rectangular Metallic Waveguides and Their Interfaces for Frequencies of 110 GHz and Above--Part 3: Recommendations for Performance and Uncertainty Specifications

This recommended practice provides recommendations for determining the electrical performance and expected uncertainty of measurement of rectangular waveguides for 110 GHz and above.

Standards approved by the IEEE SA Standards Board that are within the 10-year lifecycle.

1785.2-2016
IEEE Standard for Rectangular Metallic Waveguides and Their Interfaces for Frequencies of 110 GHz and Above–Part 2: Waveguide Interfaces

Specifications for rectangular waveguide interfaces are given in this standard. It considers the tolerances of the waveguide interface dimensions and the effect these have on the electrical properties (in terms of reflection coefficient) of the waveguide.

1785.3-2016
IEEE Recommended Practice for Rectangular Metallic Waveguides and Their Interfaces for Frequencies of 110 GHz and Above–Part 3: Recommendations for Performance and Uncertainty Specifications

Recommendations for summarizing the performance and the expected uncertainty of the reflection coefficient of rectangular-waveguide apertures and interfaces for 110 GHz and above are provided in this recommended practice. The information provided also facilitates the development of a complete uncertainty analysis for the performance of rectangular waveguide interfaces. For example, it includes the dimensional information essential for calculating the uncertainty of both reflection and transmission coefficients through interfaces provided by different manufacturers if both follow this recommended practice.

These standards have been replaced with a revised version of the standard, or by a compilation of the original active standard and all its existing amendments, corrigenda, and errata.

No Superseded Standards

These standards have been removed from active status through a ballot where the standard is made inactive as a consensus decision of a balloting group.

No Inactive-Withdrawn Standards

These standards are removed from active status through an administrative process for standards that have not undergone a revision process within 10 years.

1785.1-2012
IEEE Standard for Rectangular Metallic Waveguides and Their Interfaces for Frequencies of 110 GHz and Above--Part 1: Frequency Bands and Waveguide Dimensions

Specifications for the waveguide (including aperture dimensions, frequency range, cutoff frequency, etc.) are given in this standard. This standard considers the tolerances of the waveguide aperture dimensions and the effect these have on the electrical properties (in terms of return loss, transmission loss, etc.) of the waveguide.
