Newly Published Standards
  • IEEE 1680.1™-2018, Standard for Environmental and Social Responsibility Assessment of Computers and Displays

This standard defines environmental and social responsibility performance criteria for computers (i.e. desktop computers, notebook computers, integrated desktop computer, portable all-in-one computer, slates/tablets, small scale servers, thin clients, and workstations) and displays ( i.e. monitors and signage displays). The environmental and social responsibility performance criteria relate to substance management, materials selection, design for end of life, product longevity/life-cycle extension, energy conservation, end-of-life management, packaging, life cycle assessment and carbon footprint, corporate environmental performance, and corporate social responsibility.

  • IEEE C37.20.7™-2017, Guide for Testing Switchgear Rated Up to 52 kV for Internal Arcing Faults

This guide establishes methods by which equipment may be tested for resistance to the effects of arcing due to an internal fault. Equipment types covered in this guide include metal-enclosed switchgear as defined by IEEE C37.20.1™, IEEE C37.20.2™, IEEE C37.20.3™ and IEEE C37.20.9™; metal-enclosed bus as defined by IEEE C37.23™; medium-voltage ac controllers as defined by UL 347; motor control centers as defined by UL 845; switchboards as defined by UL 891; and outdoor high-voltage circuit breakers rated 38 kV and below used in an enclosure in accordance with IEEE C37.04™.

  • IEEE 650™-2017, Standard for Qualification of Class 1E Static Battery Chargers, Inverters, and Uninterruptible Power Supply Systems for Nuclear Power Generating Stations

This standard describes methods for qualifying static battery chargers, inverters and uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems for Class 1E installations outside containment in nuclear power generating stations, and is not intended for qualification under harsh environment (Inside Containment) design basis conditions.

  • IEEE C37.241™-2017, Guide for Application of Optical Instrument Transformers for Protective Relaying

This document provides guidance on the use of optical voltage and current sensor systems for protective relaying - including selection, installation, testing, and operations.

  • IEEE 1591.2™-2017, Standard for Testing and Performance of Hardware for All-Dielectric Self-Supporting (ADSS) Fiber Optic Cable

This standard covers the construction, mechanical and electrical performance, test requirements, environmental considerations, and acceptance criteria for qualifying hardware for use with all-dielectric self-supporting (ADSS) fiber optic cable.
