If you have an idea for a new handbook, guide, tutorial, or other standards-related product, the Standards Information Network would like to hear from you. We publish leading-edge products that enhance the understanding and implementation of IEEE Standards. All products are peer reviewed by knowledgeable engineering professionals prior to publication.
In order for us to evaluate the marketability of your proposed publication, you will need to provide information about the nature and purpose of your topic by completing our book proposal form.
Please complete the entire form and supply the requested information clearly and succinctly. It is also very helpful to submit a sample table of contents and outline at this time. Assume that we know nothing about your topic. Your responses form a critical part of the criteria for possible publication. The information you provide will also be sent to reviewers in related fields of interest for their evaluation of its marketability and enhancement of IEEE Standards and standards-related material.
The completed proposal should be sent to stdsbooks@ieee.org. When your proposal is received, it will be carefully reviewed and feedback will be provided to you within two weeks.
Once a decision has been made to go ahead with your project, a contract will be drawn up and you may begin writing your book. When you have completed your first draft, the peer review process can begin.
