Draft Document Development Support

  • Guidance, training on structuring standard and necessary components for IEEE Standards Board Approval

  • Assistance in obtaining copyright releases and patent letters of assurance

Balloting Support

  • Schedule the complete sponsor ballot process
  • Priority processing of invitation and returned comments
  • Monitor the ballot response to ensure adequate return. If the ballot may fail due to a lack of response, intervene to encourage balloters to return their ballots to reach mandatory level
  • Provide meeting-ready comment compilation documents
  • Procedural and editorial support on ballot comment resolution


Expedited Document Publication

  • Publication within 30 days of IEEE-SASB approval of draft submitted to IEEE-SASB RevCom.
  • Guidance on Hardcopy and Electronic publishing to expedite final publication
  • Final editing, proofing, indexing, and review of approved draft standard according to IEEE and ISO/IEC style guide


Public Relations

  • Consultations with a working group contact, participating companies’ designated contacts, and press as issues require 
  • Two press releases (at project initiation and approval)
  • Call for participation press release
  • Develop a comprehensive “backgrounder” (describing the project, technology and market need the project fulfils)
  • Pursue article placements with trade and general press contacts as issues dictate
  • Facilitate responses to press inquiries, coordinate conference calls
  • Coach designated representative on dealing with the press
