The IEEE-SA Sponsor Award for Outstanding
Contribution to Corporate Standards may be
presented annually to IEEE Standards Sponsors
that have shown exceptional support of the entity
standards development process. The entity, or
corporate, standards development process, embraces
direct representation of companies, government
bodies, and academic institutions in the IEEE
Standards process.
Recognition consists of a framed certificate.
There is no honorarium attached to this award.
Examples of exceptional support of the entity
standards development process may include sponsorship
of more than one corporate-based standard, promoting
the IEEE-SA Corporate Program, and sponsor facilitation
of formal industry input in the creation of IEEE
Standards.
The IEEE-SA Sponsor Award for Outstanding
Contribution to Corporate Standards Development
recognizes an IEEE-SA Sponsor that has excelled
in this endeavor.
Recipient(s) for this award are determined by the IEEE-SA Awards and Recognition Committee, and approved by the IEEE-SA Board of Governors.
Sponsored by: IEEE Standards Association,
administered by the IEEE-SA Awards and Recognition
Committee.
Nomination Deadline: 31 July
Suggested Location for Presentation of Award: This award is to be presented to the Sponsor chair or a Sponsor representative at the annual IEEE-SA Awards Ceremony. Alternatively, arrangements can be made to present the award at the Sponsor's major meeting. There is no funding from the IEEE-SA for travel or accommodations at the award venue for the recipient..
