The IEEE Standards Association Awards and Recognition Committee (ArCom) is responsible for the administration of all awards presented by the IEEE Standards Association. It shall act on behalf of the IEEE Standards Association to approve nominations for IEEE standards awards. It shall also submit nominations for standards awards sponsored by other organizations. ArCom shall be comprised of up to five members, including a chair. Two of the committee members shall be voting members of the IEEE-SA Standards Board, two of the members shall be members of the IEEE-SA BOG, and one member shall be a member of IEEE-SA. The chair and the other members shall be appointed for a term of one year by the IEEE Standards Association President. The chair shall serve as the IEEE Standards Association representative on the IEEE Awards Board. See subclause 5.2 of the IEEE Standards Association Operations Manual.
