myProject is an electronic, web-based standards development system, providing users continuous access (24/7) to a robust collection of committee, project, balloting, and publishing tools and related information.

myBallot is a service provided within myProject that allows for online Sponsor Balloting (voting and comment submission) based on predetermined policy and procedures facilitating the development of global industry standards.

Some of the myProject and myBallot features are described below.

TECHNICAL ACTIVITY:
myProject allows users to create a Technical Activity Profile which designates the committees and projects that interest you, the user. Setting up your Activity Profile is one of the first steps of your participation in Standards Development. The Activity Profile tells us what standards projects interest you. Create your personal activity profile by logging onto myProject (using an IEEE Web Account) and clicking the link for "SELECT ACTIVITY PROFILE". The list of IEEE Societies can be expanded further to Sponsoring Committees, Working Group Committees, and Project Committees. Beside each committee is a selection box which may be checked or unchecked to indicate your interest.

NOTIFICATIONS:
myProject notifications feature is initiated once you enroll in an Activity Area. You will receive NOTIFICATIONS when ballot groups are being formed and when other important committee/project related announcements are sent.

BALLOT GROUPS:
myBallot provides a mechanism for users to enroll in Sponsor Ballot Groups. If you would like to enroll in a Sponsor Ballot Group, you do not have to receive an invitation or notification to participate. Simply log onto myBallot "SHOW/JOIN OPEN BALLOT INVITATIONS" on a regular basis, to view what ballot groups are being formed and enroll in those that interest you!

SPONSOR BALLOT VOTES AND COMMENTS:
myBallot is used to collect and tally the Sponsor Ballot votes and to manage the comment collection and resolution process. All users can view the progress of a ballot, however access to the ballot details will depend on your access rights and your role in relation to the ballot.

Sponsor Chairs and other designated individuals for a specific project can see the history through "MANAGE SPONSOR BALLOT ACTIVITY" or "VIEW INVITATION SUMMARY."

Ballot group members can view the ballot progress through "MANAGE MYBALLOT ACTIVITY" or "VIEW ALL IEEE BALLOT & INVITATION HISTORY."

As a user who is not part of the ballot group, viewing ballot progress is done through "VIEW ALL IEEE BALLOT & INVITATION HISTORY."
