When the Sponsor is ready to form the Ballot Group,
the Sponsor will log onto myBallot and begin the invitation
process through the SUBMIT
INVITATION REQUEST function. When the submission
is complete, the designated IEEE Staff Liaison will
review and approve the invitation request. Once approved,
the invitation period opens and the ballot group formation
begins.
TECHNICAL ACTIVITY AREA:
A person can create a Technical Activity Profile by
logging onto myProject (using an IEEE
Web Account) and clicking MANAGE
ACTIVITY PROFILE. A list of IEEE Societies
can be expanded to Sponsoring Committees, then to Working
Group Committees, and to Project Committees. Beside
each committee is a selection box which may be checked
or unchecked to indicate your interest.
INVITATION PROCESS:
An invitation is a process by which Sponsor Balloting
Groups are formed. Through this process, an announcement
(invitation) that the Ballot Group is being formed is
sent to individuals who have enrolled in the specific
Activity Area (through Manage Activity Profile) in myProject.
BALLOT GROUP ENROLLMENT:
Those who are interested in Ballot Group participation
will need to log onto myBallot and enroll in the Ballot Group through the link, SHOW/JOIN OPEN BALLOT INVITATIONS, which displays all ballot groups that are currently "open." (Note: the "show all" box must be selected). Only individuals who are either IEEE-SA
Members or who have paid a per-ballot fee will be able to access the Show/Join Open Ballot Invitations link. Those who sign up will constitute the Ballot Group. They will review,
comment, and vote on the document (draft or standard) when the ballot period opens.
