The IEEE-SA Industry Connections program helps like-minded organizations come together more quickly and cost-effectively in the early stages of collaborative technical work, serving as an incubator for new standards activities.
A unique program, Industry Connections empowers your group to create a customized menu of IEEE and IEEE-SA resources and produce varied content, such as proposals for standards, white papers, specialized tools, online databases, data feeds and/or video. Through Industry Connections, groups can:
• Efficiently & economically build industry understanding and consensus in new technical areas;
• Develop roadmaps for the creation and usage of consensus documents;
• Decide whether there is a need for standardization, and in what form it will take; and
• Concentrate on their core purpose and move on projects rapidly.
Industry Connections’ first program is the Industry Connections Security Group (ICSG), a global effort established in October 2008 to pool experience and resources in combating the systematic and rapid rise in computer security threats.
