Standards-development projects in mobile video, Smart Grid-into-home devices, home networking, electric vehicles and medical devices to be highlighted

PISCATAWAY, N.J., USA, 4 January 2012 – The IEEE Standards Association (IEEE-SA) today announced that it is exhibiting at 2012 International CES in Las Vegas, 10-13 January 2012. IEEE-SA and the IEEE Communications Society external link (ComSoc), the foremost international forum for the exchange of ideas on communications and information networking, will share Booth 35307 in the Las Vegas Convention Center and World Trade Center (LVCC) South Hall Upper Level.


IEEE-SA at 2012 International CES external link will show how it is enabling consumer connectivity through consensus building, by showcasing standards-development projects in a wide variety of areas, including mobile video, Smart Grid-into-home devices, home networking, electric vehicles and medical devices.

Among the highlights in Booth 35307, IEEE-SA will offer mobile-video demonstrations related to ongoing standards-development projects such as IEEE P2200™ – Standard Protocol for Stream Management in Media Client Devices.
